Name: karls Date: November 29, 2003 11:05 pm Location: st. andrews Comments: Hi im a controller at St .Andrews here's some answers Phone 204-983-0660 fax 204-983-7821 staffing required 7 controllers and 1 uos we currently have 9 controllers and 1 UOS 5 phases of training phase 3 and 4 are usually the make or break phase, but no guarantees 3 checkouts last year, none the year before that - no training and 2 the year before we have had 5 successful and 1 failure in the last 6 checkout attempts most difficult is controlling the circuit with mostly unlicenced pilots and integrating faster twin traffic arriving and departing NCTI does not truly prepare the student for CYAV Winnipeg is only minutes away, most live there and the cost of living in Winnipeg is one of the lowest in Canada. Its a great tower and a great group of people.
